Rollators NZ — 4-Wheel Walkers with Seats & Hand Brakes

A rollator is a four-wheeled walker with hand brakes, a built-in seat and a storage bag — designed for people who can walk independently but want extra balance support and somewhere to rest along the way. It’s the most popular walking aid for everyday use, from getting around the house to shopping trips and longer outings. Our range of rollators in New Zealand ships NZ-wide with free delivery and a 12-month warranty.

Which Rollator Is Right for You?

We stock rollators to suit different needs, so you can match one to how and where you’ll use it:

  • Standard 4-wheel rollators — the all-round choice, with a seat, brakes and storage for indoor and outdoor use
  • Lightweight & carbon-fibre rollators — the easiest to lift into the car and store, ideal for travel and appointments
  • Wide-seat rollators — extra seat width for added comfort
  • Upright / forearm rollators — with padded arm supports to keep you more upright and take weight off the wrists
  • Bariatric (heavy-duty) rollators — reinforced, wider frames for larger users needing a higher weight capacity
  • Power rollators — motor-assisted models for extra help on hills and longer distances

What to Look For in a Rollator

  • Wheel size — 8″ wheels roll more smoothly over footpaths and uneven ground; smaller wheels suit tight indoor spaces
  • Seat height and width — you should be able to sit comfortably with feet flat on the ground
  • Weight and folding — lighter, folding frames are easier to transport and store
  • Hand brakes — easy to squeeze and lock for safe resting
  • Weight capacity — standard rollators suit up to around 100–135kg; bariatric models support more

Rollator or Walking Frame?

Choose a rollator if you can walk independently and want easier movement, a seat and larger wheels. If you need firmer, weight-bearing support and mainly indoor use, a non-wheeled walking frame may suit you better. See our full walking aids range to compare all the options.

Funding for Rollators in New Zealand

Rollators may be funded for eligible users through ACC (for injury-related needs) or Ministry of Health equipment funding via Enable New Zealand or Accessable, usually after an assessment. We can provide a quote or invoice to submit to your funder. Please note Gilani Mobility is not a registered supplier under these schemes, so approval and eligibility are decided by your funder.
